MinebeaMitsumi MMS002 series is a breeze sensor that digitally outputs wind direction and velocity. Equipped with a proprietary high-sensitivity sensor element, the MMS00x can detect gentle breezes from 0 to 3 m/s. The AFE’s non-volatile memory (NVM) stores parameters for correcting individual sensor variations and temperature characteristics. Using these parameters and the sensor data, the host can easily calculate corrected wind velocity and direction.
MMS002 features :
- Downsized by using a MEMS thermal sensor
- Wind velocity range: 0 to 3 m/s
- Wind direction range: 0 to 360 deg
- Wind velocity error: ±(0.1m/s+5%RD) (@0 to 1m/s)
- Wind direction error: ±15 deg (@0.3 to 3m/s)
- Possible to load wind velocity correction parameters from NVM
