MinebeaMitsumi MMS002 series is a breeze sensor that digitally outputs wind direction and velocity. Equipped with a proprietary high-sensitivity sensor element, the MMS00x can detect gentle breezes from 0 to 3 m/s. The AFE’s non-volatile memory (NVM) stores parameters for correcting individual sensor variations and temperature characteristics. Using these parameters and the sensor data, the host can easily calculate corrected wind velocity and direction.
